We survey the site, design and detail an approved stair system, shop fabricate and then perform a turnkey restoration at your site. RESTORING A SINGLE STEEL STAIR IN ONE DAY
Have a steel stair that is dated and failing? We've got a solution to save your time and money! The steel stair has major rust issues, however the stringers are still in great shape. We can remove the step treads without harming the stringers. Then we grind off all rust and weld new steel tread angle clips for bolt-on precast concrete treads. All of the new steel and old stairs get primer coated and painted before we finish installing the treads, that way your new steel stair system is protected. Steel railings are also very problematic when exposed to the weather. Here at Atlanta Welding we can solve this problem with many solutions. Obviously the railing can be replaced with a new steel rail, but we can come to the site with our mobile welders and repair your railing on the spot. Typically handrails that are mounted into concrete sidewalks are core drilled into the concrete. Water settles at the base of the railing post and constantly rusts the steel rail to the point of failure. We will temporarily remove the damaged railing and re-core the holes to allow us to add a new post onto the existing railing. Our installers can custom fabricate a new steel repair right on the site and primer coat and paint the railing. We then install the newly repaired rail back in its original location and it looks good as new. Most railings can be repaired if you catch the rust in time, this will save you valuable dollars and allow you to protect you investment ahead of time. Our products never get the chance see any corrosion because we primer coat every fabricated stair product before it ever leaves the shop. Our installers are extremely conscious of making sure that all of our products are protected throughout the installation process and touched up after installation if needed. We have many options of finish if primer and paint is not your preference. ​We offer powder coating and galvanizing to our steel stairs. Aluminum stairs can be powder coated as well, or anodized.
